Challenge:

With the very common 3x25A main fuse setup that is used in many homes, the charging of your electric vehicle (EV) with an equally common 11kW power can consume most of the available electricity capacity in your home. This scenario prevents simultaneous use of other high-power appliances like electric saunas or kitchen equipment.

Solution:

Instead of upgrading your electric grid connection to 3x35A, which can become quite costly, you can use Cozify HAN to adjust your EV charging power based on the available capacity of your main fuses, calculated from the real-time consumption data it provides. We are collaborating with EV charger manufacturers and service providers to offer this as a fully automated turn-key solution to our customers.

If you are more of a DIY person, you can also build this on your own using Cozify HAN in combination with our IoT controllers called smart hubs and a couple of relays (such as Shelly). Accompany it with Cozify Premium subscription and you are able to take in to consideration also the varying electricity spot prices.

Cozify HAN - Designed for the Nordics

Since the start of the pre-ordering for Cozify HAN, we received an unexpected level of interest for it. We introduced the Cozify HAN with a slightly higher price point compared to some similar products in the market.

The reason being that our product caters specifically to the Nordic needs with multiple connection options—wired Ethernet, Wifi, and an external outdoor antenna. 

In Finland and the Nordics, electricity meters are often in outdoor cabinets, requiring a solid connection - our product is able to provide that. Additionally Cozify HAN is frost resistant.
